Our story
Delco started in 2006 in a 4,800 square foot shop in Paris, Texas. One man, one idea, one trailer at a time. By 2020, we’d outgrown a 180,000 sq ft facility that was running at full capacity with no room left to grow.In 2023, we opened the facility we’d always envisioned — 600,000 square feet in Brookston, Texas, purpose-built around production flow, modern automation, and the manufacturing standards that the next 20 years demand.
“We started envisioning our dream space, taking our years of experience and lessons learned from elements that didn’t work so well in order to create our new facility.”
Since 2024, Delco’s key automation processes have moved from implementation to full operation, resulting in enhanced proficiency, product quality, and capacity. This isn’t automation for its own sake — it’s automation in service of consistency.
Every Delco trailer begins with American steel, cut to specification using CNC laser-guided machinery accurate to ±0.001 inches. That precision isn’t a marketing number — it’s the tolerance that determines whether a trailer tracks straight under load or develops stress fractures at the weld points.
After cutting, steel components are formed using CNC-controlled equipment that eliminates the variance of manual fabrication. Every crossmember, every gusset, every mounting bracket is produced to the same spec — whether it’s trailer #1 or trailer #10,000.
Our welding floor combines skilled craftsmen with automated processes — each weld is made to structural specification, inspected, and held to the same standard regardless of production volume. Consistency isn’t a goal. It’s the process.
Before any trailer reaches the powder coat line, it runs through our automated wash bays — implemented in Q3 2024 — which strip oils, mill scale, and surface contaminants that would compromise finish adhesion. A molecularly clean surface holds finish longer and resists corrosion from the inside out.
Delco’s automated powder coat line — built in partnership with Total Finishing Systems — applies a multi-stage process that bonds to the steel at a molecular level. Up to 3× more durable than traditional paint. 14 colors. Consistent every time.
Every trailer undergoes final inspection before release — structural integrity, electrical systems, finish quality, hardware torque, and load certification. When a trailer leaves Brookston, it’s ready to work.

Cutting tolerance across every component. What was once a skilled trade variable is now a repeatable, documented specification.
Our multi-stage powder coat process forms a molecular bond that’s up to three times more durable than traditional paint—delivering superior resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and fading.
From robotic welding to electrical, hydraulic, and structural components, every system is engineered to work together, resulting in cleaner builds, fewer failure points, and unmatched reliability.
Our 600,000 sq ft facility was designed not just for today’s demand but for the next decade of growth. The ability to produce 150 to 200 trailers per week, with a capacity of 500 units in the same timeframe, positions Delco to respond effectively to market fluctuations without compromising quality.
We get asked if we’ll ever move production. The answer is no. Northeast Texas is where Delco started, where our workforce lives, and where our manufacturing identity was built.
Delco’s NMTC partnership created 300 jobs in rural Texas — and that commitment to the community isn’t something we’re willing to trade for cheaper land or lower labor costs somewhere else.
“A vision forged in family, Delco Trailers has grown from a small mom-and-pop business into a nationally recognized brand.”
