The Bison Series is a different category of trailer entirely. At 7’6″ wide with lengths from 32 to 53 feet, these trailers are engineered for feedlot operators, commercial livestock transporters, and large-scale ranches that move significant numbers per haul. Ground-level loading means livestock walk in — no ramps, no height, no hesitation. A 12″ x 19 lb I-beam frame, dual tandem axles, and dual 25K jacks handle the load. Available in Bar Top (GB) and Metal Top (GM) configurations, plus the flagship GX53 Big Haul at 53 feet.
The Groundload eliminates the single biggest stress point in livestock transport — the ramp. Animals load at ground level, walking in naturally without the angle, the noise, or the hesitation that comes with conventional rear-ramp designs. Faster loading times. Lower injury risk. Less cortisol. For commercial operations running hundreds of head, the difference in loading efficiency and animal condition adds up every single week.
HEAVY IRON
The Groundload is built on a completely different frame spec than the standard livestock lineup. A 12″ x 19 lb I-beam neck and frame — versus the 8″ I-beam on standard gooseneck models — handles the tongue weight and the road stress of heavy commercial loads. Dual 10K tandem axles distribute the load across four wheels. Dual 25K 2-speed jacks come standard because a trailer this heavy needs real support when it’s uncoupled.
The Groundload comes in two roof configurations — open bar top (GB) or full steel metal top (GM) — for operations that need to choose between ventilation and weather protection. The GX53 Big Haul at 53 feet is the largest single trailer in the Delco livestock lineup, built for operators running commercial-scale cattle, hog, or sheep transport. Fifth wheel coupler option available for setups running commercial tractors. Built in Paris, Texas — every one of them.
The GB Bison is Delco’s groundload gooseneck livestock trailer in bar top configuration — engineered for loading cattle at ground level without a ramp. Purpose-built for large commercial cattle operations that need to load and unload quickly and with minimum animal stress. Available in 32, 36, and 40-foot lengths with 20,000 lb GVWR.
