October holds special meaning at Delco Trailers. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time when we come together as a family—not just to build trailers, but to build support for those in our community facing one of the toughest battles. This year, we’re going all in with our Fight for the Cure fundraiser. It’s about more than raising money; it’s about showing love, support, and hope for local breast cancer patients who need it most.
At the heart of this month-long initiative is our commitment to Texas Oncology in Paris, TX, where so many of our friends, family members, and neighbors have turned for care. It’s a cause that’s personal to many of us, and we’re proud to rally behind it.
One of the highlights of this October will be our Employee Engagement Day. It’s more than just a workday—it’s a day for all of us to step away from our desks and machines, come together as a team, and have some fun while making a difference. We’re bringing in a 60FT inflatable obstacle course for a friendly competition where employees and community members can pay to race through, all in the name of charity. There will be food, laughs, and plenty of team spirit, whether you’re racing or cheering from the sidelines. Everyone is pitching in, and all proceeds will go directly to supporting breast cancer patients.
In addition to the obstacle course, we’ll be wearing our support proudly throughout the month. Every Wednesday, the entire team will be decked out in pink, reminding each other—and anyone who visits us—that we’re united in this fight. We’re also selling pink Delco T-shirts and ribbons, with all the money raised going to Texas Oncology. For us, these aren’t just symbols—they represent our commitment to standing with those who are going through a tough journey.
The month will wrap up with something that’s become one of our favorite traditions: the check presentation. There’s something incredibly powerful about gathering as a team, handing over a donation that’s grown through everyone’s efforts, and knowing that the money raised will help real people in our community. It’s a moment of pride and purpose, and this year, we’re inviting the local media to join us as we present the funds to Lamar County Texas Oncology.
At Delco, we believe that when you’re part of something bigger—whether it’s a company, a family, or a community—you can make a real difference. Fight for the Cure is our way of doing just that. This October, we’re raising awareness, hope, and support for those fighting breast cancer. And together, we’ll continue to show just how strong we are as a team.
